Residents of Bucktown are served by the Chicago Public Library system, the world's largest public library with a collection of more than 2 million books.
The Bucktown/Wicker Park Branch is a new branch to the Chicago public
library, opened in 2011. This full-service library replaced two small
older storefront facilities, the West Town and Damen Avenue Branches of
the Chicago Public Library.
